Used bicycles

Hi,

I'm a university student spending a semester at JCU in Cairns and I'm looking to buy a used bicycle. Are there any good bike shops that sell cheap second-hand bikes?

Thanks!

Hi Franski,

Are you already in Cairns? Lots of things like bikes get advertised within the JCU Campus. I know the IGA Supermarkets always have a community board out the front where people can put up signs advertising goods (bikes etc.)that they want to sell.

If you 'google'... Secondhand bike Cairns' you will see that the bike hire shops also carry secondhand bikes. Good luck and I hope you enjoy your semester at JCU.

G'Day franski,

I've got a fairly new mountain bike (it's been ridden 4 times in the last year) at home in my shed here, taking up valuable (according to the missus, anyway) space.

If you want it, it's yours free-of-charge. All you have to do is come and collect it, or I could drop it off somewhere close for you. I can't be bothered advertising it for sale, so this is the easy way out for me.

I bought it fairly cheaply on E-Bay about 18 months ago, just about the same time that my 9YO decided it wasn't "cool" to go bike riding with Dad...go figure.

PM me if you're interested...

Cheers,

Rick

Cairns.
