Cruise trips to Barrier Reef -Royal Caribbean docked Yorkeys

Anyone managed to arrange a snorkelling trip to Barrier Reef from a Royal Caribbean Cruise docking at Yorkeys Knob other than one arranged by ship?

You are much better off to pay a little more and go with a tour organised by the ship. Ships have to anchor offshore at Yorkeys and it can take a LOOOOOONNNNG time to get ashore - most reef tours are full-day so you would simply not have time to organise one yourself. Going with the ship's tour means you absolutely will not miss the ship when she sails!!!

Another thing to consider is that passengers doing ship tours get priority with the tenders whilst passenger doing their own touring have to join the queues for the tenders.

It is impossible to do independently and the cruise line will make sure of that. Your only option is the ships tour. There is no dock for a cruise ship at yorkeys knob. Only tender.
