Plans - what else could I squeeze in?

Hi there,

My girlfriend and I are having a flying visit to Budapest and want to fit in as much as possible.

We arrive on a Tuesday at 4pm and plan to dump our stuff in the hotel then head to do the Mahart Passnave sightseeing boat tour before going up the Gellert Hill funicular railway and for dinner.

Next day, we are doing the 'Trabant tour in Budapest' and the 'Places left out of guidebook' tour with MyPersonalBudapest before getting dropped off at the shooting club for a few hours.

We literally have the Wednesday evening free before flying out on the Thursday morning. Can anyone suggest anything else that we could fit in to that evening?

Thanks.

Thanks for that. I actually think that is included in the "Places left out of the guidebook" tour. I'm not 100% sure of everything that is included in the tours so maybe someone who has first hand experience of them could offer some input?

That tour has this ...

"A unique ruin pub in the jewish district"

...which is probably the one we stopped at on the Free Budapest Tour of the Jewish Quarter for a break and a drink. But these pubs are completely different from day to night. Just try to write down or remember the address when you stop in case you want to go back.

Hello Ross

A couple ideas.

Maybe take a nice relaxing break at Szechenyi Baths (a must do in my book when in Budapest) walk out from there visit the city park with Vajdahunyad Castle and hero's square and then a nice leisurely stroll down Andrassy.

Also a nice evening walk along the Danube maybe stopping in one of the many places for a drink and to sit and watch as the city lights come on the view of the castle area and Chain bridge at night are magnificent and could be a pleasant evening well spent too.

Enjoy your trip

SEBESZ
