Tallinn on a Sunday

Hi!

Me and my boyfriend are travelling to Helsinki 27sept -1oct and are considering taking a trip to Tallinn during these days. We are thinking about going to Tallinn on Sunday and my question is: is it best to be in Helsinki or Tallinn on a Sunday? Are shops and resturants open etc? We want to walk around in the Old Town in Tallinn, visit shops here and see the main attractions. Take home some souvernirs etc. Not interested in the big shopping malls

Any thoughts or recommendations?

Other than Helsinki ferries being significantly more crowded, it's quite alright. Museums, restaurants and touristy shops are open, as are the big shopping malls.
