Suggestion...dinner night 1

We are arriving mid-afternoon Wednesday and would like a suggestion for dinner in Waikiki. Something that makes you feel like you are in Hawaii.

You can't beat Duke's IMO! That's a great time to go, happy hour with the sun setting over Waikiki beach.

Yes, I agree Dukes is a good place but make a reservation, or go pretty early or plan on a wait.

Dukes is great! We like Lulu’s for a casual first night dinner as well

On our arrival day, and we travel a shorter distance than you are, our routine is to get take out and enjoy dinner on our lanai with a bottle of wine. It is just more relaxing.

Then the next night we do The House Without A Key.

Duke's is a lunch spot for us. For dinner we prefer Hula Grill, it is a bit less chaotic.

Dukes. Wait at bar and get a table out the front.

To borrow part of Scottca’s dining itinerary, we often do House Without a Key, then Orchids (next door), for a dinner on the patio.

Essentially, it’s a two-fer, steps from each other, and always great.

Enjoy!

Another +1 for drinks and pupus at House Without A Key. We come a long way and are not up for a big dinner, just view and quality ambiance.

House Without a Key.

And if you scroll down this Forum, you'll see that we talk about Waikiki/Honolulu restaurants constantly. Dig in, take some notes ... lots of good info.
