handmade crafts supporting women of Serengeti and Botswana

Hi guys!

Does anybody know of any good local charities in Serengeti that support the local women by selling their handmade craft or something similar? My boss has on online fashion label and is visiting either Serengeti or Botswana next year. She is wanting to explore this area and learn more, see what she could do to help. Thanks! Any tips on the local crafts of jewellery or clothes in these areas will be greatly appreciated x

Off the top of my head you can find Sidai Designs in Arusha. It’s a Womens cooperative and they make beaded jewelry.

The other organizations I’m aware of aren’t in that part of the country.

Shanga is wonderful! I have 6 items from Shanga that are always on display or in use in my home. They are beautiful, well made, and reminders of the lovely people who crafted them.
