Today's Thomas Cook flight to Gatwick

Does anyone know why this flight is showing as expected at Gatwick at 23.40 when it was supposed to land at 21.20?

There are reports that some TC flights have had to re-fuel in Las Palmas. Either because there wasn't enough fuel in Banjul (but only TC can't get fuel) or TC can buy it cheaper there than in Gambia. It doesn't matter if customers are inconvenienced if it affects the profit margin.

We were on that flight. We were an hour late leaving Banjul, the pilot did mention that they thought we were going to have to stop for fuel but there was enough so it was a direct flight.

I was on the flight too, spoke to the crew who told me that they had re-fueled in Las Palmas on the way down as there was an apparrent fuel shortage at Yundum hence the later arrival. An hour was'nt to bad a delay getting back to Gatwick. I was quite looking forward to my old haunt of Las Palmas even if it was just sitting on the tarmac l.o.l. !!

Returned on the 30th jan from Banjul, Had to stop off on the wayback in Gran canary to refuel. Arrived back in Gatwick 4 hrs late 0200am.

Can We claim compensation for the delay? or not because it wasn't their fault that The Gambia had no fuel.

Our captain informed us the oil tanker delivering supplies was stuck in Dakar waiting customs clearance.

We was on same flight, it was late from Gatwick as live cargo not strapped in correctly and they had to refuel so they were over 2 hours late getting to Banjul, then we had to stop to refuel hence the 4 hours but it was a long day. It was said that The Gambia haven't paid the duty on the fuel which us why it is still at Dakar.
