Hi

at Secon Square you will find few tourist's just a big shopping mall filled with locals.

street food is always nearby just about anywhere in Bangkok.

there is a park nearby but I would take a taxi to it, a little too far to walk from Seacon. it is well worth a visit I enjoyed a nice walk and looking at the botanical gardens.

There are more accessible shopping malls than Seacon Square, which is not much different to others apart from being in the sticks. What little you might save on prices you'll spend on taxi fares.

Union Mall is close to Phahonyothin MRT station and its opposite Central Ladprao (closed for 6 months); Fortune Town has the Rama 9 MRT station right outside; Robinson Ratchada is close to the Thailand Cultural Centre MRT; Central Rama 3 is on the BRT bus line (100 meters to the bus from Chongnonsi BTS); The Mall Thapra is a 15 minute taxi ride across the river; and Future Park Rangsit (huge and very "local") is a 35 minute van or bus ride from Victory Monument.

Almost anywhere is going to be cheaper than Siam.

Fashion island have those very very cool automatic toilets. Each one has a full on control panel; bum dryer, seat warmer, water pressure, bidet targeting etc. Well worth a visit just for that!!!

Hey guys, can anyone shed some light as to whether Paradise Park has a facility to mind your luggage?

Thank you

try Terminal 21, the newly opened mall in Bangkok , its just right at the Asoke BTS station. You will find a variety of stuffs in a great mall and of course at a good price. I think its even a bit cheaper than Siam Square.

You can take the river boat to Bangkapi Mall and then onto Fashion Island as suggested above.

Silly question, are these shopping malls (Terminal 21, Union Mall, Fortune Town etc) similar to MBK? Or are they more high end malls...? If I have understood correctly, MBK is more cheap + fake stuff?

They vary. MBK is unique. Fortune Town is heavily into electronics, computers etc, but there are also many unusual shops selling hard to find stuff too, plus a big Tesco-Lotus. Union Mall has a lot of small clothes shops and is opposite the newly renovated Central Ladprao.

Hi,

For what you have been asking about on the forum stick to MBK.
