How is the protest going on ? Heard is near the platinum mall where I am staying in novotel platinum. Dangerous ?

No it is not dangerous. Probably more dangerous when you try and cross the streets of BKK. And as ter1413 wrote, do some search in BKK forum, and you can get a lot of info.

It will be nothing like you've ever seen in Singapore. In that sense it is 'dangerous.'

Hi Frank,

FYI, we do have our civil protests carried out periodically in a designated park in Singapore. These are usually against specific governmental actions & policies. At the most we would have several thousands people in each rally. But these are not as noisy and passionate as those currently taking place in BKK
