Two bus suggestions below.

(My guess is that while you were in Jomtien you probably ventured into Pattaya City area.)

There is a bus station on North Pattaya Road. Buses go from there to Ekamai bus terminal Bangkok. You can use the Skytrain from Ekamai bus station to Silom.

Or, look up Bus 389 which goes from Jomtien (across from Pan Pan Restaurant) to Suvarnabhumi. A combination of Airport Rail Link and Skytrain can get you to Silom.

Other private transportation will come up with a forum search. Your hotel can also advise you too.

Up to you.

I like the idea of you taking the 389 bus from Jomtien to the airport for 120 Baht, especially if your accommodation is not too far from bus station or near the Baht bus route.. Then ARL to Phaya Thai and BTS to Sala Daeng or ARL to Makkason then MRT to Silom. If you want picking up at your hotel then Bells bus could do it to shuttle you up to North Pattaya bus station. They will take you to Bang Na Bangkok then you will be shuttled to Silom. That is 390-400 Baht per person and may take 4 hours with all the shuttling and Bangkok traffic

edit Just checking Bells website fare 370 Baht
