There are two options.
Option 01: homestay
Day 1: saigon-caibe/vinhlong, homestay in vinh long
Day 2: vinhlong-saigon
Option 02: cantho, cairang floating market
Day 1: saigon-caibe/vinhlong-cantho
Day 2: cairang floating market-saigon
Have a great trip to the Mekong Delta.
You can check out the sinh tourist, which are a reliable budget tour agency or the waterbuffalo tours that are more upmarket, both these can organoze tours for groups.
we did 2 nights in Mekong basing ourselves in Can Tho, mainly because we wanted to stay in a fancy hotel rather than a Homestay.
I would recommend getting in touch with Tim at Come and Go who is bAsed in HCM and see what he can arrange. The area around Ben Te is interesting and restful , but I am not sure if the more budget outfits visit there.
Can also check out Mango Cruises, they do upscale day and overnight excursions. I would not recommend Sinh for a group your size, as it is mainly for backpackers.
Dont forget to bring your anti-mosquitoes lotion or else you could not sleep very well at night because of itchy mosquitoes bites
are you saying about the homestay at the local house in Can Tho or at Cai Be. In Can Tho at the Kim Tho hotel, Thanh Thuy hotel, Nha Khach 02 Can Tho hotel, Nam Bo hotel, Golf Can Tho hotel. There are no mosquitoes at all
Dear Jason SSS,
I meant the homestay at the local house. Esp. those who have sensitive skin need to be aware of the mosquitoes there! Actually, it is not too bad but it's better to prevent beforehand, isn't it?
Dear Dear VNOTravelLiving
At the Ba Duc ancient house ( morden homestay ), there are no mosquitoes inside the room because the private room has air conditioning but at the garden for dinner, sometines, there are some
Not sure about other homestays at Cai Be and in Can Tho
