Hello, first of all, you are going to love Jordan.
Answering your questions: Yes it's feasible, however, be aware that the journey is quite tiring assuming you will first explore one of the sites i.e either Petra or Wadi Rum and then drive.
I hired a driver while I was there last month, Petra is huge and so is Wadi Rum and at both the places you need to walk a lot, I really mean A LOT. And post that it will be really tiring to drive. The road to Petra isn't that smooth and quite rocky.
Hope this helps! Have a great trip.
For 4 days you can do Petra and Wadi Rum but do not add anything else. Apart from Bethany, what more for biblical sights do you mean?
In Wadi Rum you not need to walk a much, the camp staff take you to the camp and make jeep tour with you. But in Petra it is lot to walk and see.
Anyway you manage to drive the car self, not needs a driver. Roads are good and signed also.
'The road to Petra isn't that smooth and quite rocky.'
Yes, agree, that I forgot to mention, that the road is good.

You are in violation of the TA rules again, Audi. Nobody is so naive and believe that you advise the route, everyone know, that you offer your service. And that is against the rules. Do you want to be banned at finish? Is it not enough that TA blocked your messages?
With respect I think this is not your business And I think this is not against trip advisor rules
post @ 6 that dsnt sound good advice
usually when visit Dead sea you can also visit near by sites like Bethany, and Madaba
your suggestion visit the region on
and Day 3
that is sheer waste of time and money and not a good advice
Amman free walking tour
Thank you guys for your help..boy! I spelled itinerary way wrong.. no way to edit. It's bugging me!! So it's recommended to self drive or no? It seems others are posting the drive to Petra is rocky. Would you recommend B&B if we are going to drive and don't know where we will stay for the evening?
