Safety advice in the Nuku'alofa

Hi guys,

It is my first time been to Tonga with my mum. Please advice me got anything I need to concern or some places I do not go.

Anyway, I don't prepare going out at the night time.

I have never felt unsafe in Nuku'alofa at any time of day or night - but then I wasn't there during the 2006 riots, when you most definitely would not have wanted to be anywhere nearby.

Just use normal travel safety precautions and you'll be fine. You might want to be sure to bring plenty of mosquito repellent, as Tonga does have occasional breakouts of Dengue Fever, and that's something you want to avoid (been there, had that!, would not want to have again).
