Is it best to stay in a pyramid view room in the place wing or the garden wing?

I suppose it all depends on if you want to pay the difference in price. We stayed in the Garden wing with a pyramid view and were blown away waking up to the view. The view from the Palace wing would probably be better. Either way it is something very special looking out at the amazing structures, having lunch at the pool side cafe with the pyramids in view, and swimming there(if warm enough - we were there in January so not swimmimg weather).

We stayed at the Mena 12 days ago. We booked a Garden Pyramid view and because it was off peak were given the best view possible there which was magnificent. The staff seemed to think it was better than the views from the Palace, We asked to see a Palace room and sure enough you are incredibly close to the Pyramids but you also get to see the road leading to the pyramids and the squalidness around it. On reflection I preferred our room. If however you are given a garden pyramid view room with a less adventitious angle then a Palace view would win hands over. Hope that helps
