high speed train, beijing to xian

during a conversation recently, a lady who had been in China during May 2010 said she took a high speed train from Beijing to see the terra cotta warriors. Only took a couple of hours according to her. Normally it's 11+ hr. I didn't know there was one between Beijing and Xian, does any one know if that is completed?

It takes 2 hours if you fly!

Someone somewhere is mistaken or has misinterpretted what was said. There is no such high speed link and I don't think it would be possible to create one. Xi'an is nearly 2hrs away by air.

She possibly slept for 9 of the 11 hours!

thanks for the replies, I've flown it twice, but the last time was 4 year ago. Thought maybe something happened since then, OR she was totally mixed up as to where she started from in the first place.
