Hong Kong /Macau/ Disneyland Itinerary

Hi, I am planning to visit Hong Kong /Macau/ Disneyland for 5nights/6 days and have booked 2 nights in Novotel - Nathan Road/1 night in Disneyland and 2 nights in Macau - Venetian.

I wanted some help to plan my itinerary - Since i am spending only 2 nights in HK (i arrive in HK in the evening - so effectively i have only a day and half) what all i can cover in HK -

My plan for HK is as below:

- Travel to Novotel on Nathan road through MTR - HUNG HOM - MTR Hung Hom,

- Take the Harbour Night Cruise from Kowloon Pier.

- Maybe visit the Temple night market after the Cruise (not sure on other good night markets)

- Next Day morning, go for shopping till evening - whats the best place for clothes/accessories/electronics that i can cover?

- In the evening, take Bus Tour which should include the Symphony of lights

Next day morning to Disneyland. and enjoy 1 night in hotel disneyland

check out Lantau Island for half a day on the next day. (what to visit?)

Then move to Macau through ferry and enjoy the world heritage sights and casinos and House of Dancing Water on day 4 and day 5.

I know i might have asked a lot, but please provide your suggestions.

Thank you@

Jay

Hi Jay,

"- Next Day morning, go for shopping till evening - whats the best place for clothes/accessories/electronics that i can cover?"

Clothes and accessories:

If you like famous fashion brands, Tsim Sha Tsui will be a place you should head to. But if you are looking for local fashion shops (which are smaller in scale but more unique), you'd better go to causeway bay.

Electronics:

You can shop electonic products in big chain store like "Boardway", "Fortress" etc. they can be find everywhere in HK. If you specifically want computer-related stuff, there is a computer centre in Mongkok and in Wanchai.

"check out Lantau Island for half a day on the next day. (what to visit?)"

Most tourists go to Lantau Island to visit the big Buddha. Otherwise, local people mostly go there for trekking. But you probably cannot do trekking within half a day. So you may consider to spend the half day in somewhere else.

Hope these can help.

i'm not sure it's worth it to change hotel just for 1 night in Disneyland. It's very easy to do it as a day trip from Nathan Road.

How do you want to reach Novotel Hotel from the airport? Taxi? Bus? Airport Express? There is no need to go to Hung Hom Station.

KJM2483:

For Novotel Hotel Nathan Road, riding MTR is not a good solution. Because it requires multiple transfers. Really inconvenient.

Take the airport bus A21. Fare HKD $33 per adult, children half price. No transfer. Just alight at bus stop "Nathan Hotel, Nathan Road". Walk about 100 meters or so you will be right at Novotel Hotel. Very convenient.

Although the bus stop is named "Nathan Hotel" it's actually right outside the Novotel.

All airport buses (A21 included) start at the Airport Bus Terminus. To get there: once you get out of the custom checks into the Arrival Hall, walk straight across towards the Airport Express Train platform. Before you reach the platform (may be 50 meters to 100 meters or so?), you will find that on the right hand side, there is a gradual ramp going down. Follow the ramp down to the ground level. Right there is where the bus terminus is.

Just follow the signs. You may push the airport luggage carts all the way down to the bus terminus and leave them there.

If you arrive your hotel at 1800 hour, you have plenty of time. Go to the night cruise first. Then back to Temple Street night market, which opens until about midnight. And you can walk back to Novotel. It's only a few short blocks away, about 5 to 10 minutes.

Just walk down to the airport bus terminus attached to the airport arriva. Plenty of signs in the airport point you in the right direction. Its well marked and easy to find.
