Enough time to transit in Singapore Changi Aiport

Hi all,

We will take Singapore airline to Lombok via Singapore.

We first take SQ857, depart from Hong Kong 9:05am, arrive to Singapore 13:00pm same day, then transit from Terminal 3 (Singapore airline) to Terminal 2 (Silk air), is there still have skytrain from Terminal 3 to Terminal 2?

Singapore airline office staff told me that we need not to do immigration process, just go to transit area. Is it true?

How much time do I need to take? We need to catch up same day Silk Air SQ5220, depart from Singapore 15:45pm to Lombok? Transit time is 2:45hrs.

Thanks,

Cathy

>>...For the return, I have 6 hrs Transit time. It should be too boring...<<

Fortunatelly Changi airport has a lot to offers to kill time: free internet, free movie theatrers, bars and restaurants, napping areas, shower facilities, a swimmiong pool, a butterfly gardens, ...

Depending on your timing you try to register for a free city tour - officially as a Hong Kong passport holder you need a visa to enter Singapore but it doesn't hurt to ask at the Tour booth: changiairport.com/en/airport-experience/attr…

Thanks Huow.

Yes, I think Terminal 2 & 3 are more interesting place than Terminal 1.

Last time, my flight landed at Terminal 1 (Cathay Pacific), it is not much to see.

I am just waiting the bus to Johor Bahru.

The Singapore airline office staff in Hong Kong advised me not to leave Changi Airport

But I think I need to enter Singapore first because the transit area must be smaller than departure hall & arrival hall..

There are more things to see in the Transit Area than the Departure and Arrival Halls.

Use the filter list.

@josh_jxc: thank you for correcting the mistake. ICA page says "Holders of Hong Kong Document of Identity" are required to get a visa, I've mistaken with HK passport.

@cathytsang: most of the facilities to kill time are within the transit area: T1, T2 and T3 are connected airside so you can move around from one terminal to another without clearing immigration.

You still have the option for the free city tour or just take a taxi for a quick visit on your own e.g. Marina Bay area.
