Is there any sim card with data that can be bought by tourist at Changi airport?
Thanks in advance.
RynQassim, you are right, the cards are not expired.
Tourist SIMs are a different breed from prepaid SIMs. Prepaid SIMs have less data and talktime but longer expiry dates. Please get your facts right before dispensing advice.Edited: 18 May 2017, 14:24
I agree with minxbaby
Tourist card are good, just visited in May 1st week and bought SingTel card for 15SGD had a stay for 3 days, used extensive data for social app and maps and calling back to India. It lasted good. it takes hardly 5 min for all the process and got the activated SIM.
Thanks for the answers!
Was just looking at the Singtel tourist sim package, and it says no international SMS (text message). Is that the case for the other carriers in Singapore also?
There is no free international SMS with any carrier. Unless you and your contact don't have a smart phone, I suggest you install an app for messaging eg watsapp. Pls note Singapore telcom networks no longer support 2G phones.
Otherwise, look at the non-Tourist prepaid card options like https:/…prepaid-mobile-cards where the cost of international SMS is deducted from your credit on a per msg basis.Edited: 21 May 2017, 05:10
Go for M1.For SGD15 you get 500 local mins,20mins ISD,100 local sms and 100GB of local data.It is a steal with 5 days' validity. But available at the city and not changi airport in my own experience.Edited: 24 May 2017, 23:01
