Hello Experts - We are going to Singapore in last week of December 2017 with our 1.5 yr old bub. Below is the list of activities/attractions that are planned on each day. Will the experts be kind enough to show some insight on any improvements or additions that will make our little bub enjoy the trip.
Day 1 - Dec 24 : Flying in from Melbourne via Perth and will land at midnight . Taxi to hotel in MacPherson Road. Wakeup in the morning and explore chinatown till lunch time. Post lunch planning to visit Merlion Park and then head to Gardens by the bay to experience the Sound and light show. Would love to explore some local street food.
Day 2 - Dec 25 : Start the day with breakfast at hotel and then head to Singapore Zoo. Plan to cover river safari as well on the same day.
Day 3 - Dec 26 : Planning to cover Jurong Bird Park and Night Safari.
Day 4 - Dec 27 : Planning to do a river cruise on Singapore river ( Is it worth it as we stay along the dock in Melbourne so not sure whats so special.) , mint museum and Singapore Flyer.
Day 5 & 6 - Dec 28 & 29 : Planning to spend two complete days covering universal studies and Sentosa Island. Can add one more day if two days won't be sufficient to cover the whole of it.
Day 7 - Dec 30 : Planning to do a batam tour if there is nothing more to do in Singapore as we are searching for options. Appreciate if someone can suggest some good day trips within reasonable price.
Day 8 - Dec 31 : Explore the city without any specific agenda. Appreciate any suggestions.
Day 9 - Jan 1 : Checkout the hotel in the morning and reach Changi. Relax in the lounge waiting for our flight back to Melbourne.
Based on the research we have done thus far , I think using MRT will be an easy option with toddler else we are okay to use taxi. We are not very fussy about food as we are okay with any cuisine or street food.
Is the above plan achievable or too tiring ?
Also I am planning to buy all the tickets from the official websites. Is it recommended to buy the express pass at Universal Studies.
Appreciate your time and happy holidays.
