Tourist visa prórroga question

In December 2017 I entered Ecuador and stayed for my full three months. I then received a prórroga for my tourist visa for another 90 consecutive days that ended June 2018. I’m wondering when I am allowed to reenter ecuador with the basic 90 day tourist visa again? Is it 6 months after the expiration of my prórroga? Or is it in the new year (2019)?

I ask because I would like to travel to Ecuador for Christmas 2018. Thanks for any help!

1. Re: Tourist visa prórroga question

The prórroga doesn't affect the dates for the T3 (the 90 day tourist stamp that you get on arrival). You can get a new T3 365 days after your last one. If you arrived on December 12th 2017, you can come back on December 12th 2018. (Though it would be better to leave it until at least December 13th because the computer system sometimes calculates it with an extra day).
