Distance of Cusco from Urubamba, machu pichu

I'm planning a trip to Peru and to stay at Hatuchay Towers in Machu Picchu. I want to know if the area is close to the city of Cusco . Also, aside from the Inca ruins what other activities do you recommend and is the Hatuchay Towers a good location as a base to explore the region. Please advise

Urubamba is 75 km away from Cusco. Hatuchay Towers is in Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu pueblo, 112 km away from Cusco), where you should spend one night, or two as a maximum.

Please, take a look at the Things to Do section (on the left side of the screen) of Machu Picchu, Sacred Valley, Cusco, etc.
