Thank you, that’s what I needed to hear.
Have a wonderful time!
Ljubljana's centre is actually quite small, you can visit all that is interesting in 1/2 day
I agree with 424tarikd. If you won't be back in this part of the work for a long time t hen visit Ljubljana for a few hours using the train - it's a very compact capital city.
Ljubljana is the most borring town in the region. When stores close at 7:30 pm nothing to do, streets get empty.
Ljubljana has 100 m of walkway next to the river with alot of caffees. That is nice to sit and have a coffee. When you finish the coffee there is nothing else to do. 100m from that river side walkway the communist architecture town begins.
I would say Ljubljana is nice on that 100 m walk next to the river, really nice, but how long you can sit there and drink coffee?
They are lucky they are next to Croatia and have tourists who come to Croatia and visit Slovenia.
Lake Bled (there was alot of talk about Bled here) is just one lake. After 30 min you walk a bit and take 20 photos gets borring. Lake is sarounded by socialist stlye hotels. Comparing Bled with Krka or Plitvice in Croatia... Bled just look nice on filtered promotional pictures.
Dario B here saying Ljubljana is better destioanion is funy ... Comparing Lonely Planet’s No.1 Best European Destination ZAGREB in 2017 with a small town Ljubljana is really really but REALLY laughable.Edited: 13 June 2018, 00:04
