Going for a conference 6/17 to 6/21 at Loews. A couple of q

Hello,

Coming from Arizona for a four day conference. Unfortunately my family wont be going as planned. Never been there so:

1) Whats the best way to get to the Loews? I am not renting a car.

2) What kind of weather should i be expecting?

3) Any cheap eats within walking distance of my hotel?

Thanks!

Assuming you are flying into BWI, uber or taxi would be the best way to get to Annapolis. There are three major commercial streets in the historic district, West, Main and Maryland. Your hotel is on West street and everything in the historic district is within walking distance. Many many restaurants. For cheap eats, you might want to check out The Dry Dock which is inside the Naval Academy grounds. It's a bit of a walk from West street, but easily doable. The Leowes also has a shuttle that might be available to get you to the harbor area. As far as weather is concerned, your post did not indicate when you are coming.

It will probably be warm and humid in Annapolis during your stay. A chance of thunderstorms is the norm.

As far as cheap eats go, Rams Head is about a block away and has half price appetizers during happy hour. Some are decent deals. Chik n Ruths is diner that is few blocks away and is reasonable (but not necessarily cheap). In general though, you will be in the tourist district so expect higher prices.

Duh! Just saw the dates in the headline! Yes, most likely in the 80s and humid.

Great! Thanks for recommendations. Looking forward to walking the area during down time. Hopefully the weather cooperates.

Are the taxi rates and uber about the same?

Once you are in the historic district, which you basically are albeit nearer to the edge, if you are healthy and able, everything is walkable in this concentrated area. Check out www.visitannapolis.org you will find a wealth of information about attractions, food, history, and will feature maps to help you get your orientation.

Look for the Happy Hours, you can do pretty good at Rams Head or Stan and Joe's with cheap apps Annapolis has plenty of nice places to eat but if you set on cheap you have.

Mission BBQ, well liked

Moe's Southwest Grill

Jimmy John's subs

Chipotle

Subway
