Short Visit - Suggestions - Never Visited

Planning to be in Annapolis this Friday (7/30) for the first time from approx. 11am until 7pm. Most interested in anything 1) Naval Academy related; 2) casual waterfront dining and 3) anything unique. Having never been before, I am hoping for specific suggestions on "to-dos" and highlights so as not to waste time wandering around trying figuring out what's where. Thank you in advance for anything you might suggest!

https://www.usnabsd.com/for-visitors/ This is the link to the naval academy visitor center, you cannot go wrong with any Naval Academy tour. Very entertaining. Otherwise, just wandering the streets of historic Annapolis, and soaking in the history is a great passtime. You must visit the State House, and get on the water either with a Watermark cruise, or a water taxi jaunt.

We really enjoy the Watermark cruises...they're a great way to see the sights. Even on a hot day they are relaxing and pleasant.

Pusser's Caribbean Grille, connected to the Annapolis Waterfront Hotel, has been a good spot for lunch in the past, although it looks like this summer's reviews aren't great. Over the bridge in Eastport is the Boatyard, which has also been lovely in the past.

Definitely do the Naval Academy. Take a tour or walk around taking in the sites. I know you said you didn’t want to wander, but walking up Main Street and taking in the places and sites that the town has to offer is a great way to appreciate it. I would definitely skip Pussers for food but it is nice to sit outside and have a drink taking in the bay. Most downtown places now have outdoor seating under tents or umbrellas, try McGarvys if you like oysters ( only one of many places) or Middleton. Walk across the Eastport bridge to enjoy that area. Davis’ Pub is one of our favorites, local bar, great food and service. Located near the water. And as mentioned, Boatyard is great. Wine bar in same area is Vin 909. If you want atmosphere, try Carrol’s Creek, food is okay but sitting outside by the water! If you are driving, head to Cantlers for crabs (pretty pricey) but good. Enjoy you trip, relax and have a great time.
