Dubai hotels within walking to these sights?

Hello, could someone recommends some hotels that I can stay at and can walk to the following attractions easily (don't worry about the budget yet. I am more willing to pay for convenience and comfortable beds)

Burj Khalifa

Dubai Fountain

Dubai Mall

Is half day enough to see these sights? I saw Ramada hotel downtown, but not sure if that's ideal for these attractions in terms of walking. I know taxi is cheap, but would prefer to walk to these areas just for half day timeframe. If walking is not advisable for these attractions, please let me know. Any other nearby attractions that you recommend would appreciate it.

Thanks

Hello

I recommend any hotels close the Sheikh Zayed Rd such as Shangri-la Hotel Dubai. It's close the metro and close Dubai mall.

Have nice trip

I stayed in Manzil hotel last week. It was excellent and very close to the three sites you mention, a short walk of a few minutes. The beds were comfortable and the rooms more spacious than I imaged. Their corner suites have fantastic views of Downtown and BK.

Half a day will be fine unless you like to spend ages in the mall. Fountain is best viewed after dark.

If, as you say, budget may not be a problem then definitely look at The Address Downtown. Directly opposite Burj Khalifa, you can see the fountains from the terraces and some of the rooms, and it’s a very, very short walk into Dubai Mall

If budget is no issue, and convenience/closest walking distance are priorities, the answer surely is Armani - as it's 'at' the Burj Khalifa?

The easiest way for the OP to check which hotels are close to where they want to go to, is to look at one of the maps on the hotel booking websites such as booking.com etc

If you are visiting during the hot summer months, you might not feel like being outdoors, much less walking for hours.

In addition to the weather, note that Dubai isn't really a pedestrian friendly town. Walking from point A to nearby B can be quite tricky regardless of what you see on a map.

That said, The Palace Downtown is also a good contender.

Hi

Would recommend either Rove Hotel or Roda Al Murooj (a bit old but still good) for a medium range option. Both the hotels are opposite to Dubai mall and within walking distance (again depends on the season you are coming , cause if its summer you wouldnt want to walk down).

If you want to up the budget a bit more then would recommend Sofitel as they have a walking bridge connected to Dubai Mall.

Burj Khalifa, Fountains are all located in Dubai mall so once you go there you see everything. Half a day is enough if shopping is not on the agenda....However if you want to add the shopping as well then would recommend a full day there. You could probable add the underwater zoo and aquarium in Dubai mall as well to make it a full day activity - Do the under water zoo in the morning session, have lunch from the many food outlets in the mall or at the food court, then do some shopping/loitering around the mall, go to Burj Khalifa and see the view from top and then head to the many restaurants overlooking the fountain (For a top view go to TGI Fridays in Dubai mall, or once you reach the fountain area there is a bridge connecting Dubai mall to the next door Souk Al Bahar which has a number of food outlets with a fountain view) and watch two or three fountain shows over dinner (its there every half hour)

Thanks so much. Is Ramada downtown a good option too? Or is it far or difficult to walk to those sights?

The Dubai Metro is very easy to use and inexpensive, too. There are signs and announcements in English, too. We used the Metro to get almost everywhere in Dubai! The Dubai Mall stop will get you to the Mall, Burj Khalifa, and the Fountain. The Metro stop is still a good walk away from the Mall, so you will be able to get your exercise if that's what you are looking to do.

You can stay in an hotel that is close enough to walk to the three sites you mention as they are all in the same place or you can stay at any hotel close to a metro station and jump on the metro to Dubai Mall / Burj Khalifa station
