Taxis can't cross the border! You could get a taxi TO the border, walk across & get a SZ taxi on the other side, although coach or train would be a lot cheaper.
Don't take a taxi to the border. This would not be very useful.
There are many better options available and a lot of choice.
Cross border bus service, cross border mini van service, cross border limousine service, ferry, airport bus + MTR and more.
Where do you want to go exactly? Will you have a China visa already?
Is there an airport shuttle service from hong kong international airport to shenzhen north.
yes. follow than mainland transport signs and tell the guys at the counters where to in the "north".
I'm not aware of any coach station at SZ North (Bei Zhan). it is a useless station in the middle of nowhere at present although transport routes often take some time to catch up with the rapid development of rail routes in China
The Skylimo (mini bus) service works best for me. The most direct route is Shenzhen Bay (open 06:30 - 23:30) the new crossing at the end of the long bridge in Shekou, and you don't have to get out of the car. Costed 150rmb the beginning of the year.
Certain lines run to different hotels, it may be best to check with the hotel you are staying at. I take the San Tong Company mini bus at the airport C05 which goes to a cafe place and transfers to the Langshan Hotel.
If you do not speak Chinese, it would be a good idea to have common phrases, your destination and hotel written in Chinese characters if you need to take a taxi the rest of the way.
