Grand palace or prime suites

Hi

I have been looking for months to book accomodation and i can’t decide. We are looking for a 2 bedroom apartment in Sanur, the only 2 I can find in our budget of $250 a night is prime suites and grand palace.

I know they are both on a main road and not ideal locations but has anyone stayed at either and can help me choose?

Thanks

As you say, both are poor location. Prime would be my pick but I would seek some other options also.

What you save on accom here you will spend on taksi's, or do a lot of walking.

Have you asked for suggestions on here? What is it you are looking for?

What about a villa? Bali Emerald villas has great reviews and 2 bedroom works out under $250 per night.

Personally I would get accommodation near central Sanur's main road - Jl Tamblingan - and the beach. If your accommodation is near the bypass road instead that's not much fun.

Thanks :)

I did look at a villa, the emerald has no rooms on my dates.

I don’t like the idea of a villa with a pool, with young kids as they are not fenced.

I know the location isn’t great.

Recommendations have been

Prama and Mercure, but they are $300 plus a night.

My husband wants the 2 bedrooms rather then the standard rooms with the extra beds, it’s making things march harder and more dollars!

Thanks for the replies.

If you need a kitchen this may not be appropriate but the Maison Aurelia in the Magnolia suite is two bedrooms, two twins and king and lounge, small but luxurious in a good location. Under budget but book early its very popular. Im here now and I love it.

Many villas will organise temporary pool fences if you request it. Maybe check airbnb? I had the same issues because travelling with two children and didn't want to pay the cost of two rooms. Ended up finding a place with a family room.

If you tell us what you want and don't want, we may be able to help?

Two bedrooms or 2 rooms? Kitchen? Etc etc?

Don't know how old your children are but not wanting a villa with an unfenced pool indicates they're littlies. Pool fences can be hired as suggested. But it's the location which should be of importance as life is easier if you're handy to everything and don't have to get a taxi every time you'd like to venture out. IMHO, you do not want to be on Jl By Pass Ngurah Rai. If you haven't done already, have a look at Booking.com as this site has a filter and a decent enough map.

Take a look at Coconut Villa, 2 bedroomed with separate dining/lounge/ kitchen area. I’m sure Bill the owner would organise a pool fence for you & add it to the bill. It’s in a gang behind Hardy’s superstore which is on the main road, Jalan Tamblingan. Very quiet & a small warung opposite which will deliver breakfast & any other meals to your villa.
