Free or cheap camping Ein Gedi Beach

Hello!

I will visit Ein Gedi in this October with my 2 friends. Last year we stayed in our tent in Ein Gedi public beach. Now I have some questions.

1. Is Ein Gedi public beach and free campground is still open in October?

2. Last year was arisen beside Ein Gedi public beach and campground a new beach and campground with fee. It was not quite ready yet. There were some like bedouin tents. Does It is working now? Is it possible to spend the night there without our own tent? How much it costs? Do we need to make prior reservations? What is the name of this place and how I can contact with owner?

Thanks in advance (-:

Anne

Is it possible to camp at Ein Bokek beach?

These three websites say yes:

lonelyplanet.com/israel/…ein-bokek-beach

https:/…ein_bokek_beach

go-telaviv.com/israel-beaches.html#einbokek

But the main beach website says that fires and tents are not allowed:

deadsea.com/explore/…

The information from Lonely Planet is sadly outdated - there are major renovations going on in Ein Bokek now and there is no free beach at the northern end of the strip of hotels - I have no idea what they think they are talking about.

In terms of camping - I don't think it is allowed, there are certainly no facilities available for camping and I would definitely trust the last site you posted much more than the others - so if it says no tents and no campfires, I would trust that.
