Cost of living in hua hin

Looking to visit hua hin next year on a budget and was wondering what the cost of living is like. Looking to eat cheaply in the street vendors such as sol 88 but are unsure what to budget for a meal? Secondly how much is milk / bottled water in the supermarkets? Any information regarding prices would be much appreciated as we were thinking of setting aside £40 a day for the two of us for food and drink

£40 = ฿1700 a day is more than enough for 2 people,

Milk, I prefer DutchMill is ฿91 / 2 liter,, at 7-11 or chain market (Tesco Lotus)

Water (lg) 1.25 liter, I think, about ฿13 - 15, no more, same locations

Hi,

No worries, we can get by on far less than £40 a day and that's with eating plenty.

At £40 a day you won't have to survive purely on street food. If you're going to be staying around 88-94 there's plenty of bars and cafes that won't stretch you financially

Outside centre many restaurants are about 50 baht for a dish, in fact street food is not much cheaper, avoid the farang restaurants which will charge about 150 baht. £40 is plenty for food and drink. Local bars charge around 80 baht for big bottle of beer such as Chang and Leo, again I would avoid the ones aimed at tourists. Water in supermarkets, 7-11 is cheap about 13-20 baht for large bottle.
