Looking at staying near Hilton

Q1. Looking for hotel around 2000 baht price point in June july.

Must have pool, decent buffet bfast and quite at night.

Q2. Beach - is it swim and snorkel type of beach - so would expect something similar to Phuket or water quality more like a Pattaya soup????

Close to the Hilton I'd suggest your budget is way too low. You'll possibly need to double it.

The beach is long and wide, but the water quality is poor as it is for most resorts in the upper gulf. If swimming and snorkelling is important you might be better heading to Koh Samui.

How close to the Hilton does it need to be and what sort of hotel ? you will find hotels in the area within that budget easily but if you want pool choices would be less

City Beach Hotel is very close to the Hilton

Wannara is I guess about 7-8 mins walk , that may be an option , don't know about the pool size though

No snorkeling , need to go 2.5 hrs south ( road + boat ) to Koh Talu

Besides CBH, you have Thipurai City Hotel, and has a small pool. https://goo.gl/WbTMmX
