Baan Laksasubha September 2009

A very overdue report of our wonderful holiday in September. Monica we can't thank you enough for all your help in choosing the best hotel we have ever stayed in, very luxurious and comfortable. Our only concern for the future is that some of the staff were saying that there is a new English speaking manager who is causing unrest and many staff are leaving. Apart from that we would go back tomorrow. Joonie it was just as you said. The staff were all very friendly and happy to talk. The hotel room was very spacious and very clean. The gardens amazing. Food was excellant, didn't find the breakfasts boring at all. The beach was so much better than we expected, we enjoyed swimming in the sea and sunbathing on the comfortable chairs watching the world go by.

Transfers, we used Mr Roong, 4000 Thai Bhats return, the drivers were both very nice one waiting patiently at the airport and the other on time for our return journey. The cars were comfortable with air con, would recommend them.

Having been to Koh Samui a couple of times we thought that Hua Hin would be the same, not at all, so much better, there really is a lovely feeling about the place we felt very much at home.

Weather....well we expected rain and weren't disappointed! First couple of days there were a couple of heavy down pours and the same on the last couple of days ( we were there for 13 nights ) most of the time it lasted 30 mins or so but we did get some rain that lasted for approx 3 hours. Not a problem at all when the hotel room was so comfortable and a pleasure to be in. Temperature was in the early 30's but the humidity was awful, very draining.

Thank you to everyone who uses this site, all your comments and advice was helpful and made us really look forward to our holiday. Would we go back and do it all again ....YES..... Monica once again a great big thank you, your knowledge and patience with everyone is extraordinary.

Oh so glad you enjoyed - But my goodness, not another 'foreign Manager' - please no !! The staff there are just so charming, I do hope it works out ok or Auntie Monica will have to put on her heels :) LOL

Hua Hin of course is just so different from Samui, Pattaya or Phuket

But what you want out of your holiday varies so much from one to another, we have been at our condo in Jomtien for the long weekend.

Thankyou for your report Hotlips, Hua Hin is a special place isn't it?

I am keeping the Baan Laksasubha hotel in mind for when we next visit Hua Hin, although we do love the Sofitel. It does make a difference having a nice beach to swim in. Sue
