Local currency is best but they will most likely also accept USD (exchange rate is 1 USD = 0.7 JOD), I would avoid euros as the exchange rate changes daily and you will be ripped off.

My taxi at the Eilat-Aqaba border was ready to accept USD. The price was 10JOD=15USD (quite okay). I believe others will accept it too. It should be between 1.4-1.5 times of JOD in USD. Eventually I paid him in JOD. So don't know how you would get back the change.

Hei Oscar,

I agree with PetraBedan, dont use Euros. They are gonna change very bad. I can understand they have problems to change later, but still you loose. Dollar is taken normally, but to get best price i would use local currency 1USD -> ca 0.71JD
