I mainly use the watercolor(水彩絵の具) of Holbein.

Perhaps it may be the most famous in Japan.

Where it is sold

Kaiga-do(絵画堂)→ It seems to be selling the most colorspaints.

30-25 Honcho, Hakodate City

Koyama(コヤマ)

16-17 Matsukaze cho, Hakodate City

Hokubunkan(北文館)

1-7-1 Mihara , Hakodate City

Nagasakiya 2F

Sapporo, there is a larger painting shop.

There are Daimarufujii, Sapporo loft and oak painting materials.

In the world, Windsor& Newton(ウィンザー&ニュートン) is famous, there are shops selling also in Japan.

Elementary school students use in art classes, if it is Sakura Crepas(サクラクレパス) or Pentel(ぺんてる), they may even be sold big supermarkets.

Watercolors have transparent watercolors(Tomei suisai,透明水彩) and opaque watercolors (futomei suisai,不透明水彩=gouache,ガッシュ).

In the movie, I saw the movie of Bob Ross last year and thought it was interesting.

(Oil painting, I never painted oil paintings)

I also paint on trees and paper with Liquitex (リキテックス,acrylic paint,アクリル絵の具).

For traveling purposes, a solid watercolor(kokei suisai,固形水彩) set may be useful.
