Hakone ryokan advice

Hakone ryokan advice

Hi and thanks in advanced for any assistance!

Will be traveling from Tokyo to Nagoya and want to make a 1 night stop in Hakone/Gora area. Looking for a traditional Japanese style ryokan for 2 in November. Starting to get overwhelmed with the amount of info and choices out there and need some help finding the right place. Looking for the following:

Budget: $600-800 USD

- Japanese style room

- Private open air onsen on the balcony/patio

- In room dining

- Pretty mountain or forest view

Closest thing I have found is Madoka no Mori, but it looks like I'd have to decide between mountain view or in room dining to stay in budget.

How much is the budget?

Depending on the ryokan, there are cases of room charge and price of one person.

It is a holiday on November 3, I think Daimyo gyoretsu in Hakone Yumoto, so the price is high.

I recommend you make an early reservation.

Gora kadan is the most famous, but the budget is over.

The same group as Madoka no Mori

Please refer to these in addition.

Partly Private open air onsen Available
