Sightseeing in Delhi

Hello all. We will arrive in Delhi on the morning of 17th April and we have that day and the 18th to see some sights. I just wondered what is the cheapest way to do this and most popular? I have seen some hop on hop off buses but the metro also looks cheap? Also which things are a must to see whilst we are there? Thanks in advance.

This site is that of the Delhi government tourism department. Lots of information on sights and even guide tours.

Yes, the Metro is cheap, efficient and quite fastand you can use Autos to bridge the gaps (be prepared to bargain). This is how I get around in Delhi. If you like to spend a little time at each place, then I would say Red Fort, India Gate/Rajpath, Humayun's tomb and the Qutab Minar should be top of the list. But there are so many more places.....

2 ticket on HOHO bus will cost nearly same as hiring a sedan.Metro is good if wants to do and experience by own.Few attractions are near (maximum 5 to 10 minute walk) metro station (Redfort,Jama Mashjid,CP,Akshardham,Gandhi smriti, National Museum,Lotus temple, Safdarjang tomb,Bangla saheb etc),some are a short auto ride (Qutub Minar,Humayuns tomb,India gate etc).

Hello Friend,

Good way hire a privet car and driver it's very comfortable, for you off-cores Delhi metro cheaper way but not possibly visit all monument and bus trip is not comfortable for you, so car and driver is a good way......

in Delhi, many travel agent/tour operator listed in trip advisor ask 2/3 company who gives you the reliable cost...

Have a Good Day!
