Fresh Bread

Beside the Publix, which is the top hit online. Who else bakes fresh breads daily?

You could go to The Forge pizza in Foley and try to talk Sam Nunnery, the owner, into selling you a loaf of the bread he bakes every day. He only uses it for Bruschetta, but is usually wary of giving it up. Great bread...

In addition to Publix, you may want to try Rouse's market. Wal Mart bakery also has freshly made bread. If we may be of any further assistance, please contact us at 1-800-745-7263.

Publix really does have a good bakery. I have been happy with all of their baked goods. It seems all the small bakeries in PCB are dedicated to sweets primarily.

I have not been able to find anybody in this area (including Publix) that produces a decent bagel. Bagelhead's in Pensacola is the best I have found, and even theirs are not really authentic. Any suggestions?

Bagels don’t pair well with grits, so rednecks won’t eat them.

Try Foam Coffee on 2nd Street in Gulf Shores or NY Bagel in Orange Beach. Not sure if they are baked daily.
