Can you buy duty free liquor at the airport, as you enter the country? How much cheaper than elsewhere in the country/ Thanks,

Yes you can and for the most part it will be at the best price you will find.

Yes, yes and yes! It's usually 50% off from what you'll find in the local grocery stores or liquor stores. If you like wine or liquor, definitely stock up on as much as you think you'll drink during your stay. In the SJO airport in Alejuela I always go to the Duty Free down by luggage claim so I don't have to lug it through customs/immigration and can usually grab the goods before my bags arrive. Enjoy!!!
