Casa Bella Rita or Hotel Grano de Oro or Tacacori Ecolodges

Hi. I've narrowed our last night hotel search to the following three properties: Casa Bella Rita, Hotel Grano Oro or Tacacori Ecolodges. We will have 5 adults and 1 infant in our group (possibly 2 or 3 rooms needed) arriving afternoon on Saturday and leaving the following Sunday from SJO at 2:30 pm. We will have a rental car and hope to do some sightseeing before turning in early due to infant's bedtime. A good breakfast and a nice balcony or outdoor space to relax while the baby sleeps would be appreciated too. Any thoughts or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thank you! Samantha

Casa Bella Rita has a beautifully serene setting overlooking a river canyon in a fairly isolated spot SW of the airport but a short drive from it. Run by a great couple I highly recommend it. Tacacori Ecolodge is up in the hills upon the flank of Poas Volcano, north of Alajuela. Neither has a restaurant onsite if that matters to you.

Both are quite different from Hotel Grano de Oro at the edge of downtown in an elegant building but without much of a view. It has a good restaurant onsite. If you'd like to explore downtown San Jose on Saturday afternoon it would make a better choice.
