Currency options

Hi, can you use a cash passport in Tahiti? Best to take travellers cheques? US $$, Euros$$ or use credit card? Travelling from New Zealand?

Nobody wants to accept Travellers Cheques anymore. I would suggest you use your credit card whenever you can. Beware many places do have a CFP minimum. I am not familiar with the term cash passport?

Thanks. What currency cash did you take with you?

Use the ATM at the airport, I have a debit card and withdrew CFP using that. About NZ$300 worth, and if you have any left at the end, use it to pay off the hotel bill, or spend at the airport on the way out. Used the debit card for other payments like restaurants and car hire etc. I don't like the cash passport idea, too many fees. I took a few hundred Aust dollars, but didn't use it.
