Inyati and Cape Town trip advice

Hi

We are planning a eight day trip to South Africa. As part of the trip we will visit the Inyati Game Lodge.

We arrive on March 10th at 11am in Johannesburg.

How long does it take to get to Inyati from the airport and what is the best/fastest way?

Is two night enough in the game reserve?

From Inyati, we plan to fly to Cape Town - do we need to go back to Jo'berg to take the flight?

Or, is it better to get to Inyati from Cape Town?

Thanks so much!

To visit Inyati, you may fly to either the Skukuza airport (SZK) or the Nelspruit airport (MQP)..

This company can provide your transfer from either airport to Inyati - http://www.tourist.co.za/ I use this company regularly for guests who are going to the part of Sabi Sand where Inyati is located.

They can then take you to whichever of those two airports you choose for the nonstop flight to Cape Town. You do not need to fly back to Johannesburg first.

If you can afford 3 nights at Inyati, I suggest that.

It's in a very good area for wildlife, so another day & night would make the experience even better - but I can say that 2 nights will still be very good.

ayellet - to go to Inyati, you stay at Inyati Lodge. Contact them directly at http://www.inyati.co.za. They can arrange transfers for you. There are many lodges in greater Kruger private reserves, not just Inyati. You might find availability tight at this late date so be flexible.

If also visiting a Cape Town, you can fly direct to Nelspruit or Skukuza (as above) and get a transfer. If flying from Johannesburg, you can fly direct as well or get a scheduled charter on FedAir directly to the nearby airstrip.
