Looking for somewhere to stay between Johannesburg & Kruger

Hello -

We arrive into Johannesburg in early August. We would like to drive outside of town to split the travel time, but don't want to go all the way to Toro Yaka Bush Lodge in one day. Does anyone have any suggestions of a good place to stay along the way?

Also, do we stay 4 nights there and then try another location? If so, any recommendations - we will have 2 additional nights.

Thanks!

Have a look at Graskop or Hazyview and the panaromic route. 2 nights should do it.

Agree to either Graskop or Hazyview, but also have a look at Dulstroom. It will get you down to the same pace as the (s)lowveld.... Enjoy

I will look at Dulstrom and Graskop. Would like a charming little town if possible, some character as we will probably stop to reat pretty early since we will be arriving from California at 8 am and start driving. Figure we will last til about 3 or 4.!! LOL
