Taxis at tourist places?

Taxis at tourist places?

I have read in this forum that you have to phone for taxis in Cape Town. But is this necessary also for the "tourist places" like the W&A Seafront and Table Mountain Cable Car station, or is it possible to find metered taxis waiting?

And by the way...what´s the weather for next week?

There are always taxis available at places such as the V & A Waterfront and cable car station. You do not need to phone!

At the moment it looks like mid 20s and dry from Sunday - we might have a little rain this Fri/Sat.

If you find a Cape Town Tourism visitor centre they will call a cab for you and some of them have Rikki's phones that you can use - all at no charge. Cape Town Tourism is the City's official visitor agency that is paid to make visitor's stay the best it can be. Visit their website on www.capetown.travel
