~2 day itinerary Igazu

Hey guys,

Im arriving in late May in Foz do Iguazu early morning on a Wednesday morning, and leaving around 9pm on Thursday night. Probably getting a hostel in the Brazil side.

What would yall suggest for itinerary? I definitely would like to see the bird Park, and possibly a boat ride or helicopter ride. Any deals you've seen that are best for a college budget?

you must either go to an expensive college or have a nice trust fund to dip into.

helicopter rides are not cheap. Maybe if you find a worn out on it last leg type ride, but you may want to check into the prices.

also, they usually want a minimum of passengers. So if you can't find 3 or more others to go and chip into the pot, you will have to buy the minimum amount of seats.

good luck.

Wait until you see Iguazu Falls and do the walks through the Argentinean side! You can easily spend a day gazing at these amazing sights and observing wildlife (e.g., coatimundis, capuchin monkeys, Argentinian blue jays) as you walk over several waterfalls. Awe-inspiring and breathtaking. Be sure to take the train (near the visitor's center) to the end and walk to the platform that juts out into the Falls. Then when your day is done, have a drink at the Sheridan Hotel outdoor bar right outside the regular bar (not at the pool--no view) and watch the most amazing sunset. I saw a number of birds, including a toucan, at that time. Plus the view is as close to what you would see from a helicopter--many flew over our balcony--at a far lower cost, especially if you can combine that with a the views from the Belmont Hotel Das Cataratas. (Note that dinner at the Sheridan is very, very expensive.)

They also have some longer boat trips with rapids. Have fun!
