Free during Labor Day weekend?

A title caught my eye - Fee-Free Weekend: Labor Day, September 2-4, 2017

I saw the title and info at https:/…

A shortcut link led to https:/…

Does anyone know if it means that a Red Rock pass isn't required and therefore, parking for the hiking trails should be free during this upcoming holiday weekend?

Thanks in advance.

That's what it means.

Expect most trailhead parking areas to be on tilt with overflow. If you have to park beyond the designated areas, make sure that younare completely off the paved highways.

Yep, its a two edged sword. Save a little money but more competition for parking.

Campgrounds and recreation sites managed by concessionaires are not included in this event. These sites include Grasshopper Point, Red Rock Crossing/Crescent Moon Ranch, and Call of the Canyon.
