Cypress Inn v. Beach House

Based on availability (for late September) and budget (we can afford the more expensive rooms at both, but can't quite stretch to the Ritz) I have narrowed down our options for a two night stay to these two locations. They seem to be fairly equal, but it sounds like the location might be less good for Beach House.

Can anyone recommend either over the other? We want ocean view for a two night stay, convenient for local restaurants for the evenings, we're not sure what we're doing during the day yet, but we may head into San Francisco for some sight seeing.

We really enjoyed Beach House. Their oceanview heated pool and jacuzzi are great. Rooms are very pretty and breakfast is served each morning in the lobby. There are tables set up outside with oceanviews where we like to eat. :).

Beach House. We were just in Half Moon Bay this past Saturday (have been there many many times) and the views from Beach House area are amazing. Good location as well. (i.e. just seconding Syrahgirl's reply).

If you're staying 2 nights but plan on going to SF for the one full day you're in HMB then why not go and stay in SF? Doesn't seem to make sense to stay 45 minutes away from where you plan to spend the day.
