Using the search engine is a great idea and will help you get an idea of rates and availability, but there are some B&Bs in Key West that you have to contact directly to book. For example, seasonal rates and info can be found on the websites of Key West Bed and Breakfast and Angelina Guest House, but you will have to call or email them to check availability.
Be aware that March is peak season which means rates will be higher and availability will be limited. Last week I booked three nights for March and did find some rooms but had to play around with my dates to get what I wanted. I saw rooms at L'Habitation starting at $219, which is very good for March. Curry Mansion was closer to $300 and up. Below are a few B&Bs we've enjoyed.
Key West B&B -- on William Street in a quiet residential area, only a few blocks to the historic waterfront area and Duval. Expanded continental breakfast with fresh fruit and baked goods. No pool, but there's a large in-ground jacuzzi on the back patio. Beautiful house with nice common areas including outdoor porches to sit on. Some rooms have private baths, some are shared. No TVs.
Curry Mansion -- right off the 200 block of Duval. Great location, full hot breakfast and happy hour daily. Rooms are spacious with private baths and are well appointed. TVs and small fridges in rooms. Pool with plenty of room for tables and chairs around it. Breakfast and HH are in this area unless weather is bad. The very large front porch has additional seating areas. Online booking is available on their website so you can immediately check dates and rates.
Angelina Guest House - a few blocks off Duval on Angela and Thomas. Nice pool area with lots of shade. Continental breakfast with famous homemade cinnamon rolls. Some rooms have private baths and some have shared. Only one room (Queen suite by pool) has a TV.
L'Habitation - on Eaton Street near Glazed Donuts :) Continental breakfast daily, no pool or hot tub. Rooms vary but I think all have private baths. Last year we stayed in a very spacious king room behind the main house and a very small queen room off the front hall in the main hrouse. The king rooms are worth the extra money. You can book online on their website.
There are many many nice B&Bs in Key West. These are just a few of our current favorites in good locations that won't break the bank.
