February 2017 (this is NOT a roll call)...

I'm seriously thinking about committing to a February 2017 Key West trip---I'd be there during Super Bowl🏈

The airfares are about half of what I'm used to paying, and the guesthouse I always stay at is reasonable (if that's possible for Key West in February).

✔️Anyhow, who's done Key West during early February, during Super Bowl?

✔️How busy is it?

✔️How's the weather (usually) during that time?

Clue me in, folks😍

Spent the month there the last 3 February's. The weather can be iffy. Last year the first 10 days were cool ( 60's) and sometimes rainy although not an all day rain. It is very crowded. Usually 2 and sometimes 3 cruise ships in town. All of the bars have some type of super bowl party. Some are one price others pay as you go. Being from Pennsylvania,we want to get out of here in February, so we don't mind the changeable weather or crowds. Probably some do. One other bit of advice; we make our dinner reservations for the better restaurants before we leave home. Some places are tough to get into. Good luck !

Thank you for taking the time to respond 😎

My only concern for a February trip is, my home airport might be snowed under. I'm from the Midwest so February snowstorms are common (but not always the norm).

Plus, I switch planes in Atlanta---and that airport has gotten ice storms in February (and closed down).

Oh, we shall see. But, I'll probally book it and hope for the best ✈️

I have flown in February many times thru Atlanta on Delta without any problem. There are usually 3 or 4 flights daily from Atlanta to Key west which is great in case you miss your connection

Oh just book it already! Even if there's a hiccup or two getting there it's all part of the adventure!

I was in KW last Feb for Super Bowl. My friends had an awesome Superbowl pool party. It was so chilly outside I had my goose down jacket on but I was also in KW and wearing flip flops so it didn't matter!

Been doing 2nd week of February from Cleveland for almost 30 years.I can count 3 that we had bad weather this year being the worst. Its busy yes. Affordable airfare is half the battle so if its there take it.

We've been there for a few Februarys and as others say, it can be nice, or not so nice. One Super Bowl Sunday (3years ago?) it rained all day, but we didn't care, we were inside watching the game.

All the bars and restaurants will have the game on, and probably some type of specials. They usually start advertising a week or two before. As usual it's a fun time.
