best restaurants for fried seafood, and non seafood ?

Hi ,

could someone tell me where I can get the best fried seafood platter. As well the best non seafood tradition American restaurant?

We like the fried seafood at Kaler's -- nothing fancy about the place so definitely not "fine dining"....very laid back and casual...but good.

Don't tend to go to Boothbay for non-seafood, so can't help much there, although I seem to remember that McSeagull's has a wide variety of menu offerings (think their menu is on-line)....but can't comment on quality there because we always order seafood there too....

best non-seafood traditional American restaurant? maybe the Thistle Inn fits that description.

We also love Kaler's - our favorite is their hot crab dip. We also enjoy the Lobster Dock, which also has non-seafood options:
