Chatham Fish Pier

Does anyone know what time the fishermen normally arrive at the pier? We were hoping to watch the boats come in and see the seals. Thanks!

Usually between 1-3 p.m. but it really depends upon the tides and the weather. You can experience a seal watch on the Beachcomber too.

Since Mother Nature rearranged the cut and the access to the fish pier all the boats need a high tide to return. We had been to the Fish Pier in years past and not seen anything. But in recent years we have been able to be 100% certain that, if the boats went out that day that they would be back on the tide. Just watch the tide chart and bring your camera. Have fun.

I'd now agree with comments re Nickerson's Fish & Lobster lunches!

Never had eaten there before even though I've been in Chatham for years (don't eat out by myself much here and only do so when with infrequent guests) but had a friend and his wife from FL stop by today to visit so we did the "Loop" and stopped at Fish Pier...had lunch there...I had fish sandwich (huge haddock filet) and crispy/crunchy fries plus the usual small coleslaw container...very good! Friends had lobster roll and scallops...both were quite satisfied with portions, quality, taste, price/value and such...

We sat on the bench that extends the width of the building at the rear/water side...the gal at counter said there was a picnix tbl somewhere near Harbor master's office bldg but we didn't see it...others eating were sitting on concrete pier edging behind bldg or standing on observation deck using railing which is wide enough to hold a meal box...there is also a small bench on the observation deck.
