Lover's Lake Area

I've rented a house in the Lover's Lake area of Chatham, can anyone tell me a little bit about the area?

Well, that's in North Chatham so you will need to drive to local attractions and the beach etc. Look up beside your screen name for some info that I hope you can use. In the Lovers Lake area some of the homes are on right on the lake and it is great to have a water view. You can kayak or canoe on the lake if your rental has the needed equipment or if you want to bring or rent a kayak. Also, little ones may enjoy the activity at the Chatham airport which is located quite close to Lovers Lake. I think there is a restaurant there too where you can have breakfast while watching the small planes take off and land. After that you'll need to get in the car to get out and about to the beaches. But, don't worry, so many things will be pretty nearby once you are driving. I bet that it will be hard to wait for next summer now that you have the rental booked but you can spend your winter reading up on Cape Cod and all that it has to offer.

Lover's Lake Area is quite central in Chatham which is 4 x 4 miles. Part of it is near the bike path and it is located within about 1 mile from downtown Chatham. The neighborhood is peaceful, offers nice walks, and some great views, especially overlooking the lake. For additional information about Chatham you can go to the Visitor's Center (managed by the Chamber of Commerce) or visit their website online at www.chathaminfo.com. If you plan to be in Chatham for extended periods of time, you may want to join the Harwich/Chatham Newcomer's club - they have their own website. You can't go wrong visiting and living in Chatham - we love it!
